Jason Wu has worked in collaboration with Melissa for the Spring 2012 collection. Wu, who started his own fashion label in 2006, is famed for designs that are both polished and elude Hollywood Glamour. His lines focus on chiffon dresses, show-stopping red-carpet gowns and immaculately tailored jackets.

The Taiwan-born Wu, who is now based in Manhattan, learned how to sew by designing and constructing haute couture clothes for dolls, so it is no wonder he was invited to lend his touch to the Melissa brand. Using beautiful patterned lace and a variety of fashionable motifs including the Miss Wu owl logo, the beginning of this collaboration will see the release of two Jason Wu designs, both stylish twists on classic Melissa moulds – the Ultragirl and Lady Dragon.
