Shipping Rates and Methods
RATES
Australia: FREE shipping.
Overseas: Our shipping rate is charged according to the weight of the order and as the weight varies significantly according to the item(s) chosen the best way to discover your freight cost is to allow the system to calculate it for you at the time of placing the order. The shipping charge is automatically calculated when you are in checkout and is displayed on the Shipping Method page. You do not have to proceed with the order at this stage if you do not wish to.
We have decided to work on a weight basis for shipping rather than charging a flat rate as this allows us to offer you a good price when purchasing a single item.
METHODS
Australia
Couriers Please (Capital Cities)
1 to 4 working days from the date of order.
A tracking number is sent to the customer via email at the time of shipping.
We recommend that all packages are sent to a company/business address for faster delivery
We do not send to Post Office Boxes
All orders sent by Couriers Please require a signature on delivery. If someone is not available for a signature the order will not be delivered and a calling card will be left advising of the unsuccessful delivery attempt. This will also allow you to organise a new time for delivery.
Delivery is Monday - Friday.
TNT (Regional)
1 to 4 working days from the date the order is placed.
TNT is an express delivery service
A tracking number is sent to the customer via email at the time of shipping.
We recommend that all packages are sent to a company/business address for faster delivery
We do not send to Post Office Boxes
Delivery is Monday - Friday.
Please note, that selected products on our website are housed and shipped from our warehouse in Hong Kong. No tracking details are provided for these shipments and delivery can take between 3 - 7 days.
New Zealand – sent by Airmail Registered Post via Australia Post. It takes approximately 4 to 8 working days from the date the order is placed.
International – sent by Registered Post International via Australia Post. It takes approximately 6 to 12 working days from the date the order is placed.
NO tracking number is provided. A shipping confirmation email is sent at the time of shipping to the customer. The Melissa Australia office holds the tracking number and will use to track the order if needed. If the parcel is not delivered within the above times the customer is asked to follow the instructions on the shipping confirmation email.
The above shipping times are estimates only. We do our very best to adhere to these timelines and do not accept responsibility should delivery fall outside of these estimates. We do not accept responsibility for any item(s) that may go missing whilst in transit to the customer.
We do our very best to ensure that the item(s) will arrive safely and each parcel is given an identification number so the parcel can be tracked. Please be aware that SHOE BOXES may be damaged in transit. This is beyond our control. Please remember the primary function of a shoe box is to protect the shoes!
FOR LARGE ORDERS, we reserve the right to remove shoes from their boxes, especially for overseas orders, and also if a shoe is on sale. This enables us to provide you with a realistic and economic shipping charge.
Melissa Australia insures each order during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to your specified delivery address. We require a signature for any goods delivered at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you, for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them as evidence of delivery and fulfilment by Melissa Australia and transfer of responsibility in the same way. Alternatively if Melissa Australia is advised to leave the parcel at an unattended premises and no signature is received this also constitutes a transfer of responsibility.
