  Hi Skye, the Ashanti boot fits true to size, possibly a big tight if anything. It sounds like you purchased the correct size, as this tends to happen when shoes are worn with stockings - the shoe tends to feel a bit loose. I would stick with the size 40 and perhaps you could wear an insole when wearing them with stockings. Love Melissa x

  HI there, I just ordered my first pair of Melissa shoes the ashanti in size 40 - they are gorgeous but (I usually wear and 8 1/2) I wanted to know if my foot should slip out of the heel of the boot when I walk in it with stockings on.   Hi Christine, not a problem. The VW Ankle Boot does fit rather small (tight), however you are asking about going 2 sizes up from your original size and I do feel these may be too large. However we do offer a great returns policy, so you can always purchase them and return them if they are the incorrect size. x

  Hi Jade, at the moment it is only the navy gloss that we have in stock and unfortunately we will not be getting in any more colours of this great style. However, if you love the black, you will certainly love the Navy Gloss as you can just about team this colour with everything. x

  Hi Melissa, Desperately want a pair of vw lady dragon pearl/sky with red heart (or even better would be the older style without metallic heart). As it would be my first pair, I really want to get them in store so I can try them on and know I have correct size etc (also worried about all the fakes online). Do you know where I can get them?
